Disney+ Hotstar has decided to follow in the footsteps of its competitor JioCinema by providing free livestreaming of major cricket tournaments in India through its mobile app. The Asia Cup and ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup are among the confirmed events that will be available for free. Fans of cricket can enjoy these tournaments live on the Hotstar app.
The IPL live streaming went so well that JioCinema garnered a massive viewership of 44.9 million on its platform. The final match of IPL 2023 between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans saw 3.2 billion concurrent viewers on the OTT platform. Disney+ Hotstar is now aiming to grab eyeballs with a similar freebie.
Asia Cup and ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Schedule
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, the 13th edition of men’s cricket, is scheduled to be played from 5 October 2023 to 19 November 2023. According to a report by CricBuzz, the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match will be played. on October 15th. Although the 2023 Asia Cup schedule is not yet official, the tournament is expected to be held in September 2023.
